Are you an accounting superstar and would like to be part of a modern, growing accountancy team?

Do you love being part of a successful and supportive environment where your ideas are valued?

Are you ready to grow and develop both personally and professionally?

When you join Moorgate Accountancy, you become part of our super supportive and fun team.

You’ll join a team that cares about you, your career development as well as getting support to help you to define and achieve your personal goals.

You will be part of a team that cares for its clients. You’ll be involved in inspiring and educating our clients to love and understand their numbers, while helping them to achieve their personal and business goals.

Our core values are education, communication, teamwork and honesty.

You will have the choice to work flexibly or on a hybrid basis to get the work done. You will be working in an environment where the output is important, not necessarily how that is achieved. There are no six minute slots to fill in on timesheets – and clock-watching is kept to a minimum.

You will be supported to have a positive work-life balance and your mental health is important to us.

We are discerning about who we work with; we don’t just work with everybody.  Our clients are wonderful people with amazing businesses who strive to achieve their personal and business goals.  So you’ll only get to work with great clients.

You will receive regular training, and you’ll be given time to ensure that you keep up to date with the latest changes in accounting, taxation and technology.

We meet socially regularly – whether its lunch at the local Italian, drinks The Ginistry opposite the office or sometimes an evening out in London.  We have fun Awaydays – most recently at the Westerham Golf Club – to allow us time to take stock of where we are and make plans to move forward.

You will be part of an organisation that is always looking for a more efficient way of working, innovating, and challenging the way that we do things. Your ideas will be valued and acted upon.

You’ll be based in a bright, recently refurbished modern office in the heart of the leafy town of Oxted, which still retains a village feel.  There are plenty of retail and lunch choices! There are often cake, chocolate and more healthy snacks in the office if you get peckish.

We are community minded and charitable supporters – Whether providing kit for a local youth football team, free services to a nearby museum or sponsorship of (and participation in!) the local Beer Festival

Here is what some of our team have said about working at Moorgate Accountancy:

“We really are a team @ Moorgates.  We are supportive and care about our clients and each other. It’s so refreshing to be part of a team like that.  The flexible approach to working has allowed me to be there for all of the important events in my family’s lives and not feel guilty! It means I get the best out of my workday and also that all-important work-life balance.”

When you start work at Moorgate you’ll receive a competitive salary based on your skills and experience. We can talk about this more when you come to meet us. You’ll also get 20 days holiday, plus bank holidays, as a minimum. There is no fighting for holiday at Christmas and New Year, as the office is closed to clients so a long break is open to all. We usually have Christmas Eve off as a festive gift!   You’ll also get a contribution to your pension scheme and support and commitment to your personal and professional training and development.

It’s your choice whether you work part-time or full-time.

You will fit this role if you have at least 5 years experience in an accountancy practice and be able to advise business owner-managers in basic tax planning.  You’ll be confident in looking after clients on a day to day basis.  You’ll know when to pick up the phone, offer a Zoom or just to say, ‘Hi, how are you?’ You’ll love to educate your clients on the best tax, accounting or bookkeeping practices, systems or processes, for their business.

And you might just be a Xero whizz (expert) too!
